Raj Vattikuti, together with Dr. Mani Menon and Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, established the Vattikuti Urology Institute in Detroit, Michigan at the Henry Ford Hospital. Here they have been also able to work with other doctors to innovate minimally-invasive surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System for robotic-assisted medical procedures. By implementing minimally-invasive robotic-assisted surgery, the recovery time and results of many patients have significantly improved. Today, the Vattikuti Foundation has established a global network of institutes that train doctors to use robotic-assisted methods for minimally-invasive surgical procedures.
