On February 13, 2017, University of Connecticut's Huskies women's basketball team broke records for most consecutive wins when they won their 100th game. The last time the team had been defeated was in November 2014, 818 days prior to their record win. Under the leadership of head coach Geno Auriemma, UConn defeated South Carolina 66-55. When the game was over, fake one hundred dollar bills featuring Auriemma were released to the crowds and students spelled out 100 in the stands.
