US Air Corps Handkerchief, ca. 1940

Description:

Handkerchief; plain weave white cotton; printed design in blue on white; white center with a navy blue border containing a row of white stars, center is accented by a wing and propeller symbol and the words: "U.S. AIR CORPS". Further research necessary to determine if this was meant for wear by an airman or as something to send home as a gift or souvenir.
