Two incised lines around the galleried rim and two pairs around the body; plain, flared base. Tapered S-scroll handle with stepped thumbrest; cylindrical strut and circular attachment. Hinge pin impressed with grid pattern at one end. Three verification marks for Glasgow and Dundee to left and right of handle on rim.
Imperial lidded measures are considered to be a Glasgow type. They rarely have a maker's mark.
