Baluster measure with shell thumb piece and indecipherable crowned seal on the low-domed lid; half gill size. Two incised lines around the galleried rim and two pairs around the body; plain, flared base. Strap handle with stepped thumbrest and short terminal; conical strut. Small circular mark containing Prince of Wales feathers between "GR" on rim exterior, to left of handle.
"GR" mark not identified. Imperial lidded measures are considered to be a Glasgow type. They rarely have a maker's mark.
