Unlidded bulbous pitcher with spurred D- or ear-shaped strap handle, flared pedestal base, and inset, curved spout; no strainer. Fillet at neck and base; molded bead at seam. Underside of slightly convex bottom struck with maker's circular touch mark.
Maker is Rufus Dunham (1816-1893) of Westbrook, Maine; working 1837-1860.
