Shallow, circular plate engraved on its well with a rampant lion, facing left, beneath a princely crown at center bordered by "Prince Nikolai Borisovich Yusupov. Princess Tatiana Aleksandrovna Yusupov" (also spelled Iussupov, Yussupov, and Yussupoff) in Early Cyrillic (Old Russian or Old Slavonic) around its perimeter. Cast and chased, plain-edged rim features six wide sections of alternating pairs of stylized lions and peacocks separated by six narrower sections with falcons, all standing facing each other against arabesques of foliage and fruit. No foot ring. Front of well struck below lion's foot with an upside-down oval mark containing "91" next to the city mark and Cyrillic initials for St. Petersburg and with "A\LEX/ GUEYTON" in raised serif letters in a clipped-corner square. Rim front bottom edge has a profile head of Minerva, facing right, with small "1" at top right in a clipped-corner surround, while back bottom edge has partial insect countermark. Well reverse has another Minerva head.
