Old English type ladle with circular bowl and pointed downturned handle with midrib on back, bright cut pendant ovals on front, and"JMT" engraved in conjoined foliate script in the reserve; no shoulders. Swage-formed pointed drop on back of bowl. Back of handle is struck with a spreadwing shield-body eagle in a diamond and "D.V.VOORHIS" in raised serif letters in a rectangle, facing reverse directions.
