Conical- or steeple-top, japanned canister with friction-fit, low-domed cover; front of canister body is gilt-stenciled "COFFEE" amidst foliate scrolls; one pound size. Canister is made in four pieces, the collar and conical shoulder have soft-soldered lapped seams, cylinder has a vertical folded seam, and the flat bottom is folded onto sides. Cover top is folded over the soft-soldered side. No marks.
