Two-quart milk can with reinforced, tapered strap side handle and neck topped by a circular flat-top cover with arched strap handle; clipped-corner rectangular brass tags stamped "C. JEWETT" are soldered to breast and cover. Can made in four pieces: a wire-rimmed neck, conical breast and cylindrical body, all with folded seams, and a flat bottom; all joined by folded seams with a soft-soldered lapped-seam band added at neck. Cover has folded edge and lapped seam collar. Both handles have wire-reinforced, rolled-over edges and are soldered in place. Four dots of solder for feet on bottom underside of can. No other marks.
