Hollow, D-section, S-curve handle is engraved "S I" on the long, trefoil tongue-and-pip below the five-knuckle hinge and tapers to a hooded ball terminal; no strut. Touchmark at center of a pair of incised concentric circles inside bottom appears to be a crowned pair of birds standing facing inwards with "LO VE" at left and right inside a beaded circle.
