Raised, baluster- or pear-shaped coffeepot with a double-domed, hinged lid topped by a cast knop on a short, incurved and domed circular foot; body is engraved with a heraldic device of a coat of arms in foliate-scroll reserve surmounted by a crest of a bear's or lion's gamb or paw on wreath. S-curve spout has scalloped base and graduated beads on upper back and front. Spurred, S-curve handle is pinned into an upper socket with pendant shell and drop and a split-scroll lower socket with diamond- or lozenge-shaped plate. Single hole in body at spout. Underside of rounded bottom is struck with four hallmarks, "WC" in raised serif letters in a rectangular surround overstriking the centerpoint, a lion passant guardant in shield, and two illegible date letters. Inside of lid also struck with a lion passant guardant in shield.
