Description (Brief):

Chinese export market embroidered silk shawl, Canton shawl of black silk crepe embroidered with black silk; design of 6" flower and leaf border with an extra 6" motif in each corner. A 7-8" knotted fringe in black silk all around. Approx. 62" square. Probably 3rd quarter 19th C.
