Short sample cut of Cheney Brothers printed silk fabric sample, "Zantine Silk". 1917. Plain weave, soft and drapey fabric. Printed with allover "conventionalized Egyptian" modernist-inspired imbricated geometric design in lavender, blue, green, tan, brown, dark red, and navy blue. (8" L x 32" W). Mfr. # 56238. Full sample length (.00A; 36" x 40") also in collection.
