Description:

Knitted wristlet sample; tubular with slit for thumb; hand-knitted of khaki-colored wool yarn used in making knitted garments by civilians for US Army wear during World War I. Samples of knitted articles for US army and navy use were given by important American yarn manufacturer S.B. and B.W. Fleisher, Inc., of Philadelphia, PA in December 1918.
