Description:

Sleeveless sweater sample knitted of khaki-colored wool yarn (#4028) approved for civilian home-knitting for US Army wear during World War I. Samples of knitted articles for US army and navy use were given by American yarn manufacturer S.B. and B.W. Fleisher, Inc., of Philadelphia, PA in December 1918.
