William J. Sullivan, dba the National Electrical Research and Mfg. Co. in Washington, D.C., introduced the term Tel-Audio in February 1936 and obtained a trademark later that year. His first and perhaps only product was a large, vacuum-tube, table-top hearing aid with a t-coil. The case of this example may be made of bakelite. The firm apparently went out of business in 1938.
