Portrait of a Woman

Description:

Cased bust-length portrait of a woman, her body turned slightly to the viewer's right as she looks left; her dark hair is pulled up at back and parted at center with spaniel or sausage curls at front. Hinged, red velvet-covered oval case has padded front interior lined with white silk satin; portrait is framed with a cable- or ropework preserver. Push-button clasp at side. No marks.
