Description
Two electrode cold cathode x-ray tube with a “SWETT & LEWIS CO. / BOSTON / 5364” inscription on the cathode plate. This firm began in business in 1897 and was taken over by the Electro-Radiation Co. in 1906. Some Swett & Lewis apparatus was made to the specifications of Dr. Frederick Finch Strong, an instructor at Tufts Medical School, and author of Essentials of Modern Electrotherapeutics (New York, 1908).
