Inscriptions on this early carbon microphone hearing aid read in part “GENERAL ACOUSTIC CO. / NEW YORK” and “PATENTED IN THE UNITED STATES OCT... FEB. 19, 07.” By 1906, the General Acoustic Co. was advertising as successors to Hutchison Acoustic Co.
