- Description
- White-bodied earthenware plate. In 1948 Wedgwood commissioned artist Clare Leighton to design a limited-edition series of twelve plates featuring traditional New England industries for the American market. The plates were first sold in Fall 1952. Photolithography decoration consists of scene of "farming" in charcoal sepia underglaze printing, taken from wood engravings by the artist.
