Anatomical wall chart with inscriptions that read “AMERICAN FROHSE ANATOMICAL CHARTS / THIS PLATE FROM ORIGINAL DRAWINGS BY MAX BRODEL” and “Plate No. 10” and “Chart 10a / MALE GENITO-URINARY ORGANS / (EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL).” An inscription at the bottom reads “A. J. Nystrom & Co.; Publishers, Chicago.”
Fritz Frohse (1871-1916), a physician affiliated with the Institute of Anatomy at the University of Berlin, developed a set of anatomical charts suitable for use in classrooms and medical offices. Max Brodel (1870-1941), a German-born medical illustrator at the Johns Hopkins Medical School, produced an American edition of these charts. These were available by 1918.
