Description
United States Mint, Philadelphia. Obverse: Head of Liberty facing left, with coronet; stars around, date below. Reverse: Eagle, denomination. Four proofs are known, three (including the Smithsonian specimen) struck from an obverse die with a misaligned date, the fourth from an obverse die with a normal date.
