Do Bee gloves

Description:

These yellow gloves were part of the Do Bee costume worn on the children’s television program, Romper Room. Do Bee taught manners and good behavior.

After its origins on local television in Baltimore in 1953, this show was soon franchised throughout the country. Its unique "local live syndication" gave the program local flavor by allowing tele-teachers in each city to lead their own studio class and home audience through identical activities and stories designed to introduce preschoolers to the classroom.
