Photograph of Man with Octant
Photograph of Man with Octant
- Description
- The octant held by the man in this photograph appears to have been made by Richard Patten. Since the image of the octant is reversed, the photograph is probably a copy of the original. The inscription on the front of the photograph reads Captain David Bowen Moore. Born Dec. 27, 1793." That on the back reads "Wm E. Service / Photographer / 4 E. Commerce St. Bridgton, N.J."
