- Description
- This device, two glass prisms hinged together and mounted on a brass stand, demonstrates the construction of achromatic lenses. The “Lerebours à Paris” inscription refers to either the instrument maker, Noël Jean Lerebours (1761-1840), or to his adopted son, Noël Marie Paymal Lerebours (1807-1873).
