This hat was made by Sombreros Barberan in Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador, undetermined date. It is made of woven straw with black gros grain ribbon around the crown, and a plastic band inside the hat crown. There is a label inside the hat:

This hat was worn by Cuban-American jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer Paquito D’Rivera. D-Rivera has received several awards and honors, including twelve Grammys, NEA Jazz Masters, Kennedy Center Living Jazz Legend award, and a National Medal of the Arts in 2005.
