Description:

This plaque was presented to Duke Ellington by the Citizens of Washington, D.C. in 1968. It is a black stained wooden plaque with a photograph of Duke Ellington, an engraved metal plate, two laurels, and two music lyre medallions. The metal plate is engraved:
