Description
The Radio Shack division of Tandy Corporation began selling microcomputers in 1977 with its TRS-80 (later dubbed the TRS-80 Model 1). The success of the product led to several improvements. In 1983, Tandy introduced its TRS-80 Model 4. The following year, it introduced the TRS-80 Model 4P. The primary feature distinguishing it from the Model 4 is that it was more easily transported - the keyboard slid under the monitor and there apparently was a plastic carrying case. Although museum records list this object as a TRS-80 Model 4P, the keyboard is fixed, there is presently no carrying case, and the model number listed on the object is Model 4.
