- Description
- The photograph of eleven of the thirteen original employees of Micro-Soft (now Microsoft) was taken Dec. 7, 1978 in Albuquerque, New Mexico right before the company's relocation to Seatlle, Washington. Bill Gates is in the lower left corner and Paul Allen in the lower right. In the early 1990s, Jerry Schneider (the donor) undertook a project to track down all thirteen orginial employees (including the two who were unable to attend) and have them sign a copy of the photograph. Fifteen copies were signed, of which one was donated to the Smithsonian.
