- The Durham Safety Razor Co. was established in New York City, probably in 1908. By 1910, now trading as the Durham Duplex Razor Co., it had a factory in Jersey City, N.J. The inscription on one side of the blade of this example reads “DURHAM DUPLEX” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” That on the other side reads “PAT. U.S.A. MAY 26, '07 AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES.”
