Description
Al Kaline was one of many players featured on collectible coins made by Topps and included in packs of baseball cards.
Mr. Tiger Al Kaline (b. 1934) played outfield and first base for the Detroit Tigers from 1953-1974, making 18 All-Star games and receiving 10 gold gloves over the course of his career. Retiring with a lifetime.297 batting average, Kaline finished with 3,007 hits, 399 home runs and 1,583 runs batted in. A member of Detroit’s 1968 World Series Championship team, Kaline was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980.
