The object consists of a steel support, ten read-write heads and the mechanism that causes the heads to move in and out over the surface of the disks (removed as one piece from the drive). This
mechanism is notable because it comes from an early form of disk drive with only ten platters. Later industry standard disk packs had fourteen or more platters.
