- Brush in a carboard box with inscriptions that read “ONE DOZEN / CRESCENT IMPROVED / TOOTH POLISHING BRUSHES / EXTRA HARD” and “PATENTED.” The Crescent Dental Manufacturing Company was established in Chicago in 1896 and incorporated in 1909.
