- Description
- Electrical breast pump with a “MANUFACTURED BY / GOMCO / SURGICAL MFG. CORP. / BUFFALO, N.Y., U.S.A.” inscription. This firm was established by Aaron A. Goldstein (1889-1946), probably in the 1930s.
- Instructions as printed on the base of the pump: "Instructions: Verrify Voltage and Cycle. Adjust vacuum between 3 and 5 inches. The exact amount depends upon the comfort of patient. To do this create a vacuum by closing outlet. The GOMCO Pump uses continuous vaccum and nursing action is obatined by patient's own control of the air inlet at end of tubing.
