- This Elmore Smith basketball card is number 19 in a series of 264 manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1973-1974 NBA season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Buffalo Braves center. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Elmore has 3 younger brothers playing basketball,” as well as a short biographical sketch and career statistics.
- Elmore played for eight seasons in the NBA (1971-1979) as a member of the Buffalo Braves, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Elmore led the league in blocks from 1973-1975, setting a single-game record with 17 in 1973.
