Description
This apparently unfinished alcohol-in-glass Rutherford-type thermometer has a spherical bulb. The back of the tube is milk white; the front carries a scale that extends from -68.0 to +127.0 marked in degrees; the side is marked “918.” It came to the Smithsonian from the U.S. Weather Bureau.
