This black coil of oiled punched paper tape has the code for the BASIC programming language for the Altair 8800 microcomputer. Received with a plastic bag and the paper envelope in which it was delivered. The dimensions listed do not include the bag and envelope.
The software was used at the Naval Research Laboratory. It is an an early product of the firm now known as Microsoft.
