A few stores have been named for the price of the goods they carry, as the "Five and Ten Cent Store" shown on the cover of this sheet music. The song refers to a young man who buys objects from - and eventually woos and marries - a clerk at a Five and Ten Cent Store. The words are by Marvin Lee with music by Jean Walz.
