The inscription on the front of this package reads, in part: “KEMP / Belladona and Capsicum / PLASTER” and “Guaranteed by Orator F. Woodward under the Food and Drugs Act, June 30th, 1906. No. 95” and “MANUFACTURED FOR / Orator F. Woodward / LE ROY, N.Y.”
Orator Francis Woodward (1856-1906) introduced Kemp’s Balsam to market in 1883, and Grain-O in 1895.
