Description
The Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (later known as 3M) was founded in 1902 as a mining operation, but soon began to use its minerals in the production of sandpaper. This package of 3M sandpaper was produced in 1923. 3M continued to make sandpaper, but companywide innovation has also created such products as masking tape, reflective sheeting, synthetic fabrics, and sticky notes.
