Description
Thaddeus Fairbanks (1796-1886), a founder and proprietor of E. & T. Fairbanks of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, designed an improved platform scale, the novelty of which “lies in the work under the platform.” This is the model he submitted with his patent application.
