- Set of weights in a wooden box. The heaviest is 50 grams. A label in front reads “MADE BY / August Sauter / Ebingen, Germany / for / Central Scientific Company / Chicago.” While Sauter began making weights and balances in 1856, these weights were made after the establishment of the Central Scientific Co. in 1900.
