Two mercury-in-glass thermometers, each with a metal back board, mounted side-by-side on a wooden board. The inscription on one metal board reads “No. 90160 HENRY J. GREEN B’KLYN, N.Y.” and “MAXIMUM.” That on the other reads “TAYLOR Rochester, N.Y.” and “MINIMUM.” The inscription on the stem of the Taylor thermometer reads “U.S. 242382.”
