Description:

An inscription on the top of this small and lightweight Geiger Mueller counter reads “MODEL 106B / ‘LUCKY STRIKE’ / GEIGER COUNTER / AEC SGM 49A / PRECISION / RADIATION INSTRUMENTS, INC. / LOS ANGELES 16, CALIF.” A tag reads “USAEC / G100 / No. 949.” This instrument, designed for uranium prospecting, was available in the early 1950s.
