Description
This sturdy wooden box contains the tools recommended for mineralogical analysis by Carl Friedrich Plattner (1800-1858), Assay Master at the Royal Smelting Works in Freiburg, Saxony. It belonged to Ernst F. Eurich (1847-1930), an American mining engineer who studied at the City College of New York and then the Royal School of Mines in Freiburg.
