“TYCHONIS BRAHE CALCULUS, PLANETARUM CURSUS ET ALTITUDINES OB OCULOS PONENS” represents Tycho Brahe’s method of calculating the orbital paths of the planets. It is image #9 from the Harmonia Macrocosmica created by Andreas Cellarius (1596-1665), a cartographer and cosmographer in the Netherlands. The “Apud GERARDIUM VALK et PETRUM SCHENCK Amstelodam” inscription indicates that it is from the republished edition of 1708, and not the original edition of 1660.
