Description
"Ignis Davidi Oraculum" illustrates a burning altar described in a passage from First Chronicles (Chapter XXI, Verse 26). It was published in the Physica Sacra (Augsburg, 1731-1735), a literal interpretation of the bible created by Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (1672-1733), a Swiss physician and naturalist.
