Poster for the 1991 movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are four fictional anthropomorphic turtles named after famous Renaissance Italian artists: Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael. They are crime fighters who live in the sewers of New York City. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird co-created these characters featured in comic books published by Mirage Studios beginning in 1984.
