Description
Toupee worn by Carl Reiner as Alan Brady on The Dick Van Dyke Show. The show aired on CBS from 1961-1966, with Reiner serving as producer, writer, and actor in the role of Alan Brady, the demanding and vain host of a fictitious variety show. Dick Van Dyke starred as television writer Rob Petrie and Mary Tyler Moore played his wife Laura. In the memorable episode "Coast-to-Coast Big Mouth," Laura accidentally reveals that Brady wore a toupee on television. She visits Brady to apologize, only to find him furious and surrounded by several different toupees on mannequin heads to whom he tells "Fellas, there's the little lady who put you out of business!"
